Energy, enthusiasm, and passion are three words that have been used to describe this year’s recipient of the New Professional Award. Crazy is also another word that the used to describe James, but in a good sense.
James has impressed others with a knowledge of student programs, an ability to effectively advise students only slightly younger than himself, and incredible organizational skills. As a result of his leadership, his University’s program board has increased the quality and quantity of activities and events. He encourages the students to set goals and work hard to achieve them.
This nominee also stepped up quickly to become involved in ACUI activities. He has been involved in the Recreation Tournament as the Texas hold ‘Em and Poetry Slam Coordinator and has presented educational sessions at both Regional and annual ACUI conferences. |
